Abstract

Rigid package of flexible material, particularly for powder or granular products.

The present invention relates to a rigid type package, made of flexible material, particularly for granulated or powdered products, provided with a system that allows an easy release of the product, but also an easy and safe re-closing of the package.

Packages of the aforementioned type, known by the name of rigid packages (which can stand) by the fact that they are self-supporting when filled with the product, are usually made of flexible mono-folded or multi-folded material, with one side (or both sides) can be heat sealed, for example, from polyethylene, and be obtained by successive folding and sealing, usually from a double film. They usually have a reinforced support base, from which two heat-sealed side walls are erected along the side and top edges.

For practical reasons, rigid packages for granulated or powdered products are being increasingly requested, particularly in the food sector, for example, to contain coconut, powdered sugar (“glaucar”), flour, grated cheese and the like. a way to enable a direct release of the product.

Some of these packages have disadvantages, from the point of view of their opening, requiring, for example, the use of scissors to cut the heat-sealed top edges of the package.

Other packages have disadvantages in terms of product release, which must be removed from the package, for example, with a spoon.

Other packages remain disadvantaged from the point of view of their closure, which remains practically exposed to external agents.

Of course, one or more of the above disadvantages may be present at the same time in the prior art packages.

The objective of the invention is precisely to overcome the disadvantages mentioned above by providing a rigid package that is easy to be opened, does not require the use of scissors or other instruments, allows a direct spray of the product and allows an easy and safe reuse closing the package after each of its uses for partial removal of its contents.

Another objective of the invention is to provide such a package that is practical to use, versatile, and simple and inexpensive to manufacture.

These objectives are achieved by the package according to

the invention, which has the characteristics stated in the attached independent claim 1.

Advantageous configurations of the invention are established in the dependent claims.

Essentially, the flexible material package according to the invention, to contain granulated or powdered products, has a substantially rectangular or ovoid support base, from which two opposite side walls are erected, each joined to a half- perimeter of the base and joined with each other along the side edges, which can be adequately formed to personalize the package or to make it easier to grip. In particular, respective semicircular recesses are provided on said lateral edges to facilitate the gripping of the package.

Said lateral edges are sealed with each other for less than the total length of the package, in order to leave an upper area open, on which a sheet of perforated film is applied, which is arranged, “mounted on horseback”, on the interior surfaces of the two walls of the package and which closes like a book, on itself, when said walls are mated.

Said perforated sheet has a surface that can be heat sealed, in order to be permanently fixed with the walls of the package, and the other surface made of a “detachable” material, in order to provide a “peelable” closure for the package.

In this way, the package can be easily opened by grasping its two flaps at the top and exerting a pull to cause the separation of the “peelable” heat seal and the exposure of the perforated sheet, through which the product can be sprayed by shaking and tilting the package.

After use, the flaps at the top of the side walls of the package are put together, inserting a tongue formed in one of them within a corresponding cut or slit formed in the other flap at the top, in order to avoid accidental separation of said flaps. According to an alternative configuration, the top flaps, joined together, are folded and inserted within a transverse strip provided on one of the side walls of the package.

More other features of the invention will be made clearer by the detailed description that follows, referring to a purely example configuration, and thus not limiting, shown in the attached drawings, where:

With reference to these figures, the package according to the invention is denoted as a whole with the reference numeral (1). It is a package designed, in particular, to contain granulated or powdered products - also known by the name of rigid package since it is capable of supporting itself - made with a film, mono-folded or multi-folded, of a flexible material, which can be heat sealed on at least one side

The package (1) has a support base (2), from which two opposite side walls (3) are erected, each sealed with a respective half-perimeter (4) of the base (2) and sealed one with the another on the side edges (5) up to a certain height, in order to leave the respective areas (7) on top of the walls (see in particular fig. 3) unsealed with each other.

Each bottom of the seal (4) is joined to the lateral edges (5) by means of respective pairs of inclined portions (6) to enable the increase of the support base (2) of the package. The package thus structured takes a staggered shape towards the top and, after being filled with the product, can be closed at the top in the manner that will be described below.

Said lateral edges (5) of the package, a short distance from said base (2), have respective recesses (8), in substantially semicircular shape, adapted to facilitate the grip of the package.

As shown in fig. 3, a sheet or strip (9), in substantially rectangular shape and provided with a plurality of holes or micro-holes (10), sized according to the type of product contained in the package (1), is applied to match the upper free areas (7) of the walls, open so as to be arranged in a flat way.

The sheet (9) is advantageously multi-folded, so as to have a surface (the bottom or the inner with reference to fig. 3) of the same material (for example, polyethylene) as that of the inner layer of the package (1) of so as to be able to be permanently sealed with the package, and the other surface (the upper one in the view of the drawings) of a different material that does not allow a permanent heat seal, but a fleeting seal (“peelable”).

In practice, the sheet (9) is arranged, as shown in fig. 2, on the upper areas (7) of the walls, which are folded to be put together, causing a book-like fold in the sheet (9) interposed between them, after which a mono heat seal is made along the top and side edges of the folded sheet (9), thus causing the permanent sealing of the sheet (9) with the package (1) along the aforementioned portions (5 ') and (20), and the fleeting sealing of the sheet ( 9) with herself over the above portions (5 ") and (20 ') ·

As shown in the figures, the top horizontal hot seals (20) and (20 ') are arranged at a distance from the top edge of the package, in order to determine a respective flap (12) on each side wall (3) of the package. ) top, free, of which a tongue (13), with a convex profile protrudes, in the center.

A cut or slit (14), with a curved profile, is formed on one of the flaps (120, while a tongue (15), intended to be inserted in the cut (14), is formed on the other flap (12).

The closed and sealed package has the appearance as shown in fig. 1.

To open it, it is sufficient to grab the tongues (13) that protrude from the flaps (12) at the top, free, with your fingers and exert a traction on them, in order to cause a separation of the hot, fleeting seals, (20 ') and (5 ") and then the opening of the package, as shown in fig. 2.

At this point, the package can be gripped with one hand by its base (4) and by the recesses (8) of holding onto the side edges (5), possibly by shaking and properly tilting, or twisting up and down, to provoke the appearance of a spray of the granulated or powdered product contained therein.

After use, the package is placed in its original standing position, the tabs (12) at the top are put back together and the tongue (15) is inserted into the cut (14), thus ensuring that the above-mentioned tabs ( 12) are retained and then the package is safely re-closed.

Based on what has been described, the advantages of the

5/5 according to the invention are obvious since it allows its opening without having to resort to instruments, such as scissors, an easy direct distribution of the product thanks to the provision of holes (10) properly sized on the sheet (9) and a reliable re-closing which ensures the hygiene of the package.

It is clear that the invention is not limited to the particular configuration already described and shown in the accompanying drawings, but numerous modifications of details, within the reach of a person skilled in the art, can be made in it without departing from the scope of the invention, as established in the attached claims.

According to the variant configuration shown in figures 5 and 6, a transverse or horizontal strip (30), fixed at its ends to the lateral edges (5) of the package, is provided on a lateral wall (3) of the package, in the vicinity of the above-mentioned horizontal seal (20) or (20 ') For the repetition of the package closing, the top flaps (12) are put together, folded down on the side wall (3), having the strip (30), and 15 inserted into said strip, as shown in fig. 6.

According to this configuration, the flap (12) of the top coinciding with the side wall that carries the strip (30) could not even be provided.
