Descrição Detalhada da InvençãoDetailed Description of the Invention
The present invention provides etermoplastic elastomeric polyolefin blends (TPEs) which are adherent and / or have high dimensional stability. Also disclosed are: an industrial production process of articles containing elastomeric and / or thermoplastic polyolefin blends (TPEs) adhering and / or of high dimensional stability; a process for incorporating the polymeric blends of the invention onto various surfaces, and a process for the industrial production of articles by directly forming adherent elastomeric and thermoplastic polyolefin blends (TPEs) and / or increasing dimensional stability. Providing elastomeric and thermoplastic polyolefin blends (TPEs), Adherent and / or high dimensional stability is a considerable technical challenge since TPE blends do not exhibit such characteristics under conventional conditions. Blends of the invention provide, among other advantages, fusion with other surfaces, polymeric or not, which adds advantages such as the need for the use of adhesives for the incorporation of such blends on certain surfaces.
When used in the product segment comprising more than one type of polymer, such as footwear, the inventive blends provide considerable technical and industrial advantages. Adherence, dimensional stability and direct forming capability together or separately provide material recycling, providing economical industrial processes, with less losses during processing and without the production of industrial waste. The processes comprising the use of the blends of the invention therefore have greater environmental and economic sustainability.
Blends of the invention may comprise various compositions as described in more detail below. In some preferred embodiments, the blends of the invention have low density compared to similar polymers of the same purpose, providing advantages in various applications. In some preferred embodiments, the inventive blends have good elastic memory compared to same purpose polymers, providing advantages in various applications, such as in the automotive segment.
As blendas da invenção compreendem:The blends of the invention comprise:
(i) 5 a 35% em peso de uma poliolefina;(i) 5 to 35% by weight of a polyolefin;
(ii) 5 a 37% em peso de um EVA (etil vinil acetato);(ii) 5 to 37% by weight of an EVA (ethyl vinyl acetate);
(iii) 30 a 75% em peso de uma poliolefina modificada;(iii) 30 to 75% by weight of a modified polyolefin;
(iv) 0,01 a 10% em peso de um ácido forte; e(v) 0,5 a 25% de aditivos selecionados do grupo que compreende:agentes de expansão como, por exemplo, espumantes, azodicarbonamida,ZnO e equivalentes; estabilizantes; lubrificantes; e agentes de carga, comoCaC03.(iv) 0.01 to 10% by weight of a strong acid; and (v) 0.5 to 25% of additives selected from the group comprising: blowing agents such as foaming, azodicarbonamide, ZnO and equivalents; stabilizers; lubricants; and fillers such as CaC03.
For purposes of the present invention, said polyolefins (i) include: high, medium and / or low density polyethylene, polypropylene homo- and / or copolymer, conventional and / or high impact polystyrene, as well as combinations thereof, optionally combined with elastomers.
For purposes of the present invention, said modified polyolefins (iii) are those obtained by metallocene catalysis process. The blends of the present invention may comprise different densities of said modified polyolefin so as to adjust the final weight of the article comprising the blending as well as its abrasion resistance.
For purposes of the present invention, said strong acid (iv) may be added directly to the polymer mixture, or provided by molecules capable of releasing such strong acids into the polymer mixture.
Blends of the invention provide surprising features in light of the available technical knowledge, indicating that combinations of the ingredients (i), (ii) and (iii) in which polyolefin (i) is at a concentration greater than or equal to 35% would give rise to blends without stability. dimensional, tending to contraction. In addition, similar blends have extreme difficulty in homogenization, mixing. Preferably, the inventive blends comprising the weight ratio of ingredients (ii) and (iii), added to greater than or equal to 50% of the total weight of the blend, exhibit excellent dimensional stability, good mixing characteristics and good adhesion characteristics. make them attractive for use in industrial plants. The linearity of behavior of the blends of the invention is surprising to those skilled in the art, since data available in the literature would not motivate the combination of ingredients in the proportions and / or conditions indicated in the present invention. A preferred embodiment of the invention is exemplified below. In the preparation of a shoe, a blend containing: 27% by weight of polyethylene was used; 57% by weight of (ii) EVA combined with (iii) a polyolefinamodified; the remainder being to complete 100% consisting of additives as defined in item (v) above. Said blend was injection molded, giving rise to shoes of high dimensional stability, no need for post-injection stabilization and no need for crosslinking. The obtained footwear presented a density substantially lower than the known counterparts, providing lightness and comfort. The closest material to the blends of this embodiment of the invention (in terms of appearance / texture) is an expanded and crosslinked EVA which undergoes expansion, contraction and is not recyclable, requiring much more sophisticated and costly industrial installations. The industrial technology of the present invention benefits from the fact that the blending processing of the invention adapts to existing industrial facilities such as that of the applicant.

(iii) 30 a 75% em peso de uma poliolefina modificada;(iii) 30 to 75% by weight of a modified polyolefin;
(iv) 0,01 a 10% em peso de um ácido forte; e(iv) 0.01 to 10% by weight of a strong acid; and
(v) 0,5 a 25% de aditivos selecionados do grupo que compreende:(v) 0.5 to 25% of additives selected from the group comprising:
