Abstract

METODOS PARA LIBERAR ESPOROCISTOS A PARTIR DE OOCISTOS USANDO FORÇAS DE CISALHAMENTO CONTROLADAS. A presente invenção refere-se a métodos para liberar esporocistos/esporozoítos de oocistos, em que uma solução de oocistos é submetida a forças de cisalhamento controladas suficientes para romper as paredes dos oocistos e liberar esporocistos/esporozoítos deles. Uma solução de oocistos é passada através de uma unidade de câmara de processador Micro-fluidizer® sob condições definidas de diâmetro da câmara, geometria de câmara, e pressão. Os oocistos impactam a parede da câmara e são submetidos a forças de alto cisalhamento controladas, rasgando a parede do oocisto e liberando os esporocistos/esporozoítos.
