Abstract

APARELHO E MÉTODO PARA MANIPULAR ARTIGOS VOLUMOSOSNO MAR. A invenção se refere a aparelho (10) para manipular artigos volumosos (como um PLET ou ILT (12)) em um convés (14) de uma embarcação no mar. O aparelho inclui um berço (16) que sustenta o artigo volumoso, primeiro meio de movimento de translação (32, 42, 46) fornecido entre o convés e o berço e segundo meio de movimento de translação (20, 31, 35, 37) móvel ao longo do convés. O primeiro meio de movimento de translação permite que o artigo volumoso seja movido a partir de uma área de armazenagem e transferido para o segundo meio de movimento de translação, e o segundo meio de movimento de translação permite que o artigo volumoso em seu berço seja movido em direção a um local operacional (F). Um acionador (26) também é fornecido entre o convés e o berço, para ajustar a orientação do artigo volumoso em relação ao convés, quando na posição operacional. Também é fornecido um método de manipular artigos volumosos em um convés de uma embarcação no mar.
