Abstract
SISTEMA E MÉTODO DE DESSALINIZAÇÃO DE ÁGUA DO MAR. São descritos um sistema e um método de tratamento de água de baixa energia. O sistema (300) apresenta pelo menos um dispositivo de eletrodiálise (321A) que produz água parcialmente tratada e um subproduto de salmoura, um emoliente e pelo menos um dispositivo de eletrodesionização. O fluxo de água parcialmente tratada (321) pode ser abrandado pelo emoliente para reduzir a probabilidade de formação de escama e para reduzir o consumo de energia no dispositivo de eletrodesionização (500), que poduz água apresentando propriedades alvo. Pelo menos uma porção da energia usada pelo dispositivo de eletrodesionização pode ser gerada pelas diferenças de concentração entre os fluxos de salmoura e de água do mar introduzidos nos compartimentos do mesmo. O fluxo de salmoura pode ser também usado para regenerar o emoliente.
