Abstract

PROCESSO PARA A PRODUÇÃO DE PIGMENTOS DE DIÓXIDO DE TITÂNIO REVESTIDOS. Um processo para a preparação de pigmento de grau de dióxido de titânio é provido que produz dióxido de titânio substancialmente livre de anatásio com um revestimento uniforme de um óxido de metal sem produzir partículas separadas do óxido de metal, que não estão incorporadas no revestimento. O processo compreende misturar um precursor de dióxido de titânio com um composto de silício para formar uma mistura e introduzir a mistura e o oxigênio em uma zona de reação para produzir dióxido de titânio substancialmente livre de anatásio. O dióxido de titânio produzido é colocado em contato com um precursor de óxido de metal homogeneamente misturado com um componente solvente a jusante da zona de reação para formar um revestimento uniforme de óxido de metal sobre as partículas de dióxido de titânio.
