Abstract

MéTODO E APARELHO PARA DETERMINAR SE UM PADRAO DE REFERêNCIA ESTá PRESENTE OU NãO EM UM SINAL RECEBIDO E POSSIVELMENTE IMPRESSO COM MARCA D'áGUA. Muitos sistemas de impressão com marca d'água fazem uso de correlação para calcular uma métrica de detecção, o que significa que vários padrões de referência são gerados no lado de codificador e um ou mais dos mesmos são incorporados no sinal de conteúdo, dependendo da mensagem a ser incorporada. Para decodificar a mensagem incorporada, é necessário descobrir qual padrão de referência foi incorporado no lado de codificador. Isso é determinado por correlação dos padrões de referência conhecidos com o sinal de conteúdo. Um detector de marca d'água decide, dependendo do tamanho dos valores de resultado de correlação, se uma sequência pseudoaleatória dada foi incorporada ou não. Entretanto, isso não provê decisões corretas se áudio impresso com marca d'água for emitido por um alto-falante e então capturado com um microfone. De acordo com a invenção, tira-se proveito dos ecos de sinal recebido em vez de tratar os mesmos com ruído. O resultado de detecção de marca d'água é melhorado por integrar os valores de correlação resultando de ecos no pico de correlação principal, desse modo utilizando valores de amplitude de resultado de correlação localizados em uma vizinhança predeterminada de um valor de amplitude de pico de resultado de correlação e excedendo um limite predeterminado.
