Abstract

EQUIPAMENTO E MÉTODO PARA SUPORTAR CHAMADAS DE EMERGÊNCIA (eCALLS). São descritas técnicas para suportar eCalls. Em um aspecto, um indicador de eCall pode ser utilizado para indicar uma eCall sendo estabelecida. Em um desenho, um terminal pode gerar uma mensagem incluindo um indicador de eCall e pode enviar a mensagem para originar uma eCall. O indicador de eCall pode indicar (i) se uma chamada é uma eCall ou não ou (11) se uma eCall é iniciada automaticamente pelo terminal ou manualmente por um usuário. Em outro aspecto, um terminal pode evitar enviar sinalização para gerenciamento de mobilidade e gerenciamento de conexão para redes sem fio exceto para eCalls e chamadas designadas. O terminal pode evitar executar atualização de localização, executar registro, responder a solicitações de paging, etc. o terminal pode permutar sinalização com uma rede sem fio para uma eCall iniciada pelo terminal. Após início da eCall, o terminal pode executar atualização de localização com a rede sem fio e estabelecimento de chamada para a eCall.
