COMPOSIÇÃO PREBIÓTICA E MÉTODOS DE PRODUÇÃO E USO DA MESMA. Uma composição prebiótica compreendendo material extraível solúvel a partir de uma fonte lignocelulósica. Método de produção de uma composição, compreendendo fornecer uma fonte lignocelulósica; extrair materiais solúveis a partir da fonte lignocelulósica para produzir material extraível solúvel; e processar o material extraível solúvel para originar uma composição prebiótica, onde a composição prebiótica compreende hemicelulose e apresenta atividade prebiótica.
