Abstract

PROCESSO PARA DESEMULSIFICAçáO E ESTERIFICAçãO INTEGRADA DE áCiDOS GRAXOS E SEUS DERIVADOS COM EMPREGO DE REAGENTES RESIDUAIS E RECUPERAçãO SIMULTáNEA DE áLCOOL E RETIRADA DE áGUA. A presente invenção consiste na desestabilização de emulsões de ácidos graxos e água para sua posterior utilização como matéria-prima na reação de esterificação em presença de álcoois de cadeia curta fazendo o aproveitamento como catalisador do ácido remanescente usado na etapa de desemuísificação. Além disso, o processo de esterificação faz uso da destilação simultânea de álcool e água durante a reação de esterificação e, ainda, utiliza a separação de fases do meio reacional com o intuito de remover a fase aquosa e, portanto, favorecer a conversão da esterificação. O uso da presente invenção permite a redução do tamanho dos equipamentos, um menor consumo de energia e reagentes, bem como, um tempo total de processamento mais curto, porém, uma maior conversão em produtos quando é feita a comparação com as técnicas de esterificação atualmente disponíveis. Além disso, ela é capaz de processar matérias-pnmas com alto índice de acidez, portanto, com difícil ou nenhuma colocação no mercado tais como as presentes na escuma de esgotos e nas caixas de gordura de restaurantes.PROCESS FOR DEMULSIFICATION AND INTEGRATED STERIFICATION OF FATTY ACIDS AND THEIR DERIVATIVES BY EMPLOYMENT OF RESIDUAL REAGENTS AND SIMILAR RECOVERY OF ALCOHOL AND WATER DISPOSAL. The present invention consists in the destabilization of fatty acid and water emulsions for their later use as raw material in the esterification reaction in the presence of short chain alcohols making use as a catalyst of the remaining acid used in the de-depuration step. In addition, the esterification process makes use of simultaneous distillation of alcohol and water during the esterification reaction and also uses phase separation of the reaction medium in order to remove the aqueous phase and thus favor esterification conversion. . The use of the present invention allows for the reduction of equipment size, lower energy and reagent consumption, as well as a shorter total processing time, but a greater conversion to products when compared to current esterification techniques. available. In addition, it is capable of processing raw materials with a high acidity index, therefore, with difficult or no placing on the market such as those found in sewage scum and restaurant fat boxes.
