Abstract

PROCESSO CATALìTICO DE HIDROGENAçãO DE BIOMASSA PARA OBTENçãO DE P-MENTANO E USO DO p-MENTANO OBTIDO COMO BIOCOMBUSTìVEL DE AVIAçãO. A presente invenção é relativa à obtenção. em etapa única, do composto p-mentano mediante um processo catalítico com conversão e seletividade aperfeiçoadas. O p-mentano pode ser obtido por rotas catalíticas diferenciadas, utilizando para isso. catalisadores com funcionalidade de hidrogenação para as ligações insaturadas presentes no substrato precursor, particularmente, em oleos essenciais. Foram investigados catalisadores heterogêneos para avaliar as melhores condições de conversão e seletividade, em relação à obtenção de p-mentano não apenas sob condições diluídas, mas também substancialmente puro. Os catalisadores adequados à presente invenção e adequados ao processo de obtenção do p-mentano correspondem aos catalisadores de hidrogenação suportados, cujo carregamento corresponde a um teor de metal nobre que varia na faixa de 0,01-10%. mais preferencialmente de 0,01- 5% em peso. Os catalisadores de hidrogenação aqui representados são constituídos por metais nobres dos grupos 6, 7, 8, 9 e 10 da labela periódica, que são mais especificamente selecionados do grupo correspondente ao níquel, platina, paládio, rutênio, molibdênio, cobalto. tungstênio. ou misturas destes. Em relação às condições de processamento para a obtenção de p-mentano, a faixa de temperatura utilizada varia de 70-250<198>C, a faixa de pressão que varia de 1-70 bar, e ainda, uma faixa de agitação empregada à reação variando entre 100-1000 rpm. O tempo de reação envolvendo o processo de hidrogenação catalítica varia de 1-48 horas. As condições de alimentação da reação foram estabelecidas de acordo com razão massa de catalisador por volume de substrato líquido, variando na faixa de 0,0001-0,05 g/ml, mais preferencialmente de 0,001-0,02g/ml.
