Abstract

The invention relates to equipment, including: a lower portion (20); an upper portion (10) that is translatably movable relative to the lower portion (20) so as to be able to grip said sheet metal edge (30); a sheet metal edge trimming tool (13) that is rigidly connected to the upper portion (10) and capable of shearing the sheet metal edge (30) by engaging with a counter-blade rigidly connected to the lower portion (20); and a trimmed sheet metal edge flanging tool (23) that is rigidly connected to the lower portion (20) and shaped so as to engage, by means of shape-matching, with a corresponding shape of the upper portion (10) so as to flange the sheet metal edge (30) when the translatable movement of the upper portion (10) against the lower portion (20) is carried out after the trimming. The lower portion (20) is formed by a lower frame (21) and a movable base (22) sliding relative to said lower frame (21), the movable base (22) comprising at least one bearing surface (22e; 22f) of the sheet metal edge (30) to be trimmed. The equipment is suitable for cutting and shaping sheet metal parts, and for manufacturing sheet metal parts for the automobile industry.
