Abstract
PRODUÇÃO DE ISOMALTOOLIGOSSACARÍDEOS E USOS DOS MESMOS. São aqui descritos métodos para a preparação de isomaltooligossacarideos ("IMOs") a partir de um substrato de carboidrato e usos dos mesmos. Na presença de uma enzima maltogênica e precursores de IMO adicionais, uma invertase de Aspergillus sp. é capaz de produzir IMOs a partir de uma pasta de amido. A capacidade da invertase funcionar como uma enzima tranaglucosidase gera um mecanismo simultâneo para sacarificação de IMO.
