Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of the design of a food masher having a main body portion, a handle portion, and a lever portion; the main body portion has generally parallel flat end walls, convex side walls in plan view, and a bottom wall extending generally at right angles to the side and end walls; a slightly raised peripheral portion is situated at the lower end of the main body portion; the bottom wall has a plurality of aligned laterally extending rows of generally identical circular openings therein, the rows extending from adjacent the front end wall to adjacent the rear end wall of the main body portion;the handle portion has a pair of generally identical side walls which taper slightly inwards along their length from the rear end of the handle portion; the side walls then curve outwards and merge into the convex side walls of the main body portion; the main body portion has opposed front projections at the upper corners of the side walls thereof which extend forwards a short distance following the curvature of the convex side walls to merge into the side walls of a downwardly extending front lip portion; the front lip portion has a straight end in plan view; the handle portion has a laterally extending bottom wall section which extends part way along the length of the handle portion from the rear end thereof;the lower surface of the bottom wall section has a series of spaced-apart parallel generally rectangular narrow projections extending outwardly therefrom; the handle portion has a top wall section beginning at the end of the bottom wall section and extending to the upper edge of the rear end wall of the main body portion;the lever portion has an elongated arm having side walls and a top wall which follow the contour and shape of the handle portion to a location close to the main body portion; the side walls of the lever portion then flare outwards and curve around the convex sides of a large area which generally follows the shape of the main body portion;the side walls of the lever portion then taper inwards a short distance to opposed shoulder portions which merge into a generally rectangular forwardly-extending projection which, in turn, merges into the top of the front lip portion.Representation of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a perspective view from the right side and above of the design of the food masher;Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof;Fig. 3 is a right side view thereof;Fig. 4 is a left side view thereof;Fig. 5 is a bottom plan view thereof;Fig. 6 is a front view thereof; andFig. 7 is a rear view thereof.Diagrams of the design are included.
