Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of a transformer having a main housing section and a finned section; the main housing section is generally symmetrical and has a lower housing portion which merges through an inwardly extending shoulder area into an upper housing portion; the lower housing portion has a pair of generally parallel rectangular flat side walls, a generally flat front wall and a rear wall; the front wall extends generally at right angles to the side walls; the rear wall of the lower housing portion has a pair of outer portions which extend inwardly at right angles to the side walls a short distance and then merge into a central rear area which extends the height of the main housing section; the central rear area has an outer surface which bows outwardly over its height; the corners of the main housing section are rounded; the upper housing portion of the main housing section has a front wall which merges into the flat front wall of the lower housing portion and then bends rearwards through a smooth curved surface to the lower end of the finned section; the side walls of the upper housing portion have flat forward portions which extend rearwards generally at right angles to the front wall of the upper housing portion and merge into raised side areas having generally flat side surfaces and outwardly and upwardly curved outer surfaces which merge into the lower end of the finned section;the finned section has a lower finned portion having angled corners and outwardly converging upper and lower surfaces and aligned alternately smaller and larger finned areas each having rounded corners and outwardly converging upper and lower surfaces which merge into a continuous rounded peripheral edge.Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a front, right side and top perspective view of the design of the transformer;Fig. 2 is a front elevational view of the Fig. 1 transformer;Fig. 3 is a rear elevational view of the Fig. 1 transformer;Fig. 4 is a left side elevational view of the Fig. 1 transformer;Fig. 5 is a right side elevational view of the Fig. 1 transformer;Fig. 6 is a top plan view of the Fig. 1 transformer; andFig. 7 is a bottom plan view of the Fig. 1 transformer.Diagrams of the design are included.
