Abstract

Molded polyurethanes are filled with a mica filler being delaminated such that the filled polymer composition retains a notched Izod impact strength of at least about 2.5 ft-lb./in notch (135 J/m notch) and a distinctness of image on a painted surface and at least about 85. The mica filler preferably has a thickness of less than about 1.5 µm. Use of such a mica filler provides a polymer composition having surprising good physical properties and excellent surface quality.
