Abstract

ABSTRACT
A rectangular parallelepipedal package is formed by enclosing rectangular parallelepipedal objects in a flexible sheet tube and sealing the ends of the tube and a U-shaped line of perforations is formed on one face of the rectangular parallelepipedal package to form an opening having a size and shape which allows the removal of separate objects from the package.

Claims (5)

1. A package comprising a plurality of rectangular parallelepipedal object forming a stack, a tubular flexible sheet wrapped around said rectangular parallelepipedal objects, said tubular flexible sheet being sealed on its ends, said flexible sheet forming a rectangular parallelepipedal package, and a U-shaped line of perforations in one face of said package, said perforations being aligned with one of said stack of said rectangular parallelepipedal objects, said U-shaped line of perforations defining an opening in said face of said rectangular parallelepipedal package to allow the removal of a single object at a time from said package.

2. The package of claim 1 in which the central section of said U-shaped line of perforations is formed of stepped perforations.

3. The package of claim 1 in which the central section of said U-shaped lines of perforations defines an outwardly extending tab in that edge of the opening flap.

4. The package of claim 1 in which a second line of perforations is outwardly of and parallel to the central section of said U-shaped line of perforations, said second line of perforations and said central section of said U-shaped line of perforations defining a tear strip is said package adjacent said opening.

5. The package of claim 4 in which the central section of said U-shaped line of perforations defines an outwardly extending tab in that edge of the opening flap.
