Abstract

L'invention est relative à un procédé de séparation du calcium et de l'azote du lithium. Ce procédé est caracté-risé en ce que l'on ajoute de l'alumine au lithium fondu de manière à former du nitrure d'aluminium et de l'oxyde de calcium insolubles et on sépare à chaud lesdits inso-lubles pour récupérer le lithium purifié. Il trouve son application dans l'obtention de lithium de qualité particu-lièrement apte à la fabrication d'alliages d'aluminium-lithium et d'lectrodes de batteries électriques.
