Abstract

On a mis au point un appareil de test d'échantillons, notamment de bois scié afin de déterminer la teneur en humidité, la densité, la présence de noeuds ou de sève, la pente du grain et le parallèlisme des fibres, utilisant un rayonnement à micro-ondes polarisé en plan. Ledit appareil comprend des moyens (7 à 11) transmettant le rayonnement à un échantillon (1) ainsi que des moyens (12 à 17) détectant le rayonnement transmis dans l'échantillon. Lesdits moyens de transmission et de détection comprennent des moyens (10 et 14) faisant tourner de manière réglable le plan de polarisation des rayonnements à micro-ondes transmis et reçus. Ledit appareil peut comprendre un bras d'un circuit en pont comportant un autre bras de référence (5).
