Abstract
La présente invention a pour objet un dispositif ainsi qu'une méthode pour tuer un puits après la mise en oeuvre d'un bloc d'obturation de puits. L'opération en question est réalisée par la mise en place d'un manchon de remplissage (34) à l'intérieur d'un train de tiges (26) au-dessus d'une tête de colonne pour essai de puits sous-marin, et positionné entre les mâchoires d'obturateur (22 et 24) et les mâchoires de sécurité à cisaillement (18) d'un bloc d'obturation de puits (12). Advenant l'activation des mâchoires de sécurité à cisaillement (18) et le scellement du train de tiges au-dessus du manchon de remplissage (34), l'ouverture d'une soupape de pression (84) incorporée au manchon de remplissage permettra l'établissement d'une pression entre les mâchoires du bloc d'obturation (18 et 22) aux fins de pompage du fluide hors du bloc d'obturation (12) à travers la soupape (84) et à l'intérieur du train de tiges (40) pour étouffer ou tuer le puits. Une fois le puits tué, le bloc d'obturation du puits (12) peut être ouvert pour permettre l'enlèvement des outils. Diverses versions de l'invention sont décrites.
