Abstract

Une roue à rayons tendus avec un plan central de roue est divulguée. La roue comprend un moyeu avec une première bride de moyeu sur un côté du plan central de roue et une deuxième bride de moyeu sur l'autre côté du plan central de roue, une jante et des rayons ou d'autres dispositifs de tension. Les rayons qui sont reliés à la première bride de moyeu sont, à leur tour, reliés à la jante au niveau d'un premier ensemble de points circonférentiellement espacés et les rayons qui sont reliés à la deuxième bride de moyeu sont, à leur tour, reliés à la jante au niveau de points qui coïncident avec la circonférence du premier ensemble de points circonférentiellement espacés. En d'autres termes, les rayons ou les éléments de tension de la première et de la deuxième bride de moyeu sont fixés ou groupés au niveau de la jante afin de fournir une roue qui affiche, sous une charge, un niveau nul ou considérablement réduit, par rapport à l'état de la technique, de vecteur de force net parallèle à l'axe de rotation, à tout point donné sur la jante, contrairement à une roue où un rayon provenant de la première bride de roue est fixé à la jante à un point qui est circonférentiellement espacé d'une distance considérable du point le plus proche sur la jante où un rayon provenant de la deuxième bride de moyeu est relié. Les bicyclettes dotées d'une roue avant, d'une roue arrière ou de roues avant et arrière selon l'invention sont également divulguées. La bicyclette n'est pas sujette aux instabilités ou oscillations dues à la vitesse, lorsqu'elle est équipée d'une roue avant selon l'invention.
