Abstract
Cette invention concerne une pile à combustible servant à produire de l'énergie électrique et un flux de produit de réaction à partir d'un flux de réactif combustible et d'un flux de réactif comburant. La pile à combustible comprend une électrode à membrane (52) disposée entre deux couches de matériau séparateur (54, 56) formé de feuilles minces conductrices essentiellement imperméables aux flux de combustible et de comburant. L'électrode à membrane comporte une première et une seconde couches (64, 66), faites de matériau mince conducteur et poreux et revêtues d'un catalyseur, une membrane échangeuse d'ions étant interposée entre elles. Les couches conductrices comportent des passages sous forme de vides interstitiels ou des gorges (64a, 66a) servant à véhiculer les réactifs entre un orifice d'entrée et un orifice de sortie de l'ensemble électrode multicouche.
