Abstract
L'invention concerne les usines de production d'aluminium dans lesquelles le traitement des vieilles brasques (produits carbonés provenant de la démolition du revêtement des parois et du fond des cuves d'électrolyse de l'alumine) exige une réduction préalable des brasques en morceaux dont la taille n'excède pas quelques millimètres. Le procédé de broyage objet de l'invention est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une opération de concassage (12) dans laquelle les vieilles brasques sont réduites en morceaux dont les dimensions n'excèdent pas 50 mm, une opération de criblage (16) permettant de séparer les grains ayant une taille de quelques millimètres et constituant le produit fini, et une opération de broyage (14) permettant de réduire les refus du criblage aux dimensions du produit fini.
