Abstract

Procédé et dispositif d'offre de services à la demande servant à produire des services par signaux vidéo ou audio ou par signaux de données dans un système d'abonné du type CTV, par exemple. Le système comprend une tête de réseau (10) couplée à un réseau de distribution (12) possédant une multiplicité d'abonnés (14). Des signaux de services standards constituant des canaux programmés sont généralement couplés à des signaux de services à la demande constituant des canaux de programmation à la demande dans un système de multiplexage par répartition de fréquence. Les services de demande sont produits par un processeur de services à la demande possédant un processeur d'entrée (50) mémorisant des programmes pour les services de demande dans un serveur de fichier (52) ou dans une autre mémoire de grande capacité (53) et une pluralité de processeurs de sortie (54) qui extraient les programmes à la demande et les convertissent en signaux de services de demande s'appliquant au réseau de distribution (12). Dans le mode de réalisation illustré, le processeur d'entrée (50) brouille, numérise et comprime la programmation analogique en temps réel ou autre, afin de la mémoriser dans le serveur de fichier (52). Lorsqu'un abonné le demande, un processeur de sortie (54) extrait un programme mémorisé depuis le serveur de fichier en tant que flux de données numériques, le décomprime et le reconvertit en signal analogique brouillé. Le signal analogique brouillé est ensuite modulé sur une porteuse par le processeur de sortie (54), de façon à devenir un signal de services à la demande.
