Abstract

Dans la production de bandes de cellulose formées à sec, il existe deux manières différentes de lier les fibres: encoller les surfaces de la bande, et ajouter à la charge fibreuse des fibres liantes thermoactivées qui sont activées par passage dans une zone chauffante. En théorie, cette dernière manière de procéder est la meilleure, bien entendu notamment pour des produits qui absorbent les liquides, mais en pratique, elle présente l'inconvénient que le matériau fini est poudré par des fibres courtes, non liées. Selon l'invention, cet inconvénient peut être pallié par la mise en oeuvre du premier procédé modifié de manière à ce que les deux surfaces de la bande soient simultanément soumises à l'apport d'un volume infime de colle sous forme de mousse, c'est-à-dire à raison d'1 gramme par mètre carré. Les surfaces restent ainsi perméables, mais sont cependant rendues étanches afin d'éviter que des fibres courtes ne sortent de l'intérieur de la bande.
