Abstract
Un dispositif absorbeur d'énergie permet d'arrêter des corps en mouvement de manière sûre. Ses utilisations incluent des systèmes anti-chute qui protègent des chutes accidentelles les ouvriers se trouvant sur des structures élevées. Ce dispositif absorbeur d'énergie comprend une bande enroulée pouvant dissiper de l'énergie quand une force de traction appliquée à ce dispositif produit une contrainte de courbure interne qui dépasse la limite d'élasticité du matériau. La charge de traction appliquée à la zone de sécurité pendant une chute accidentelle déroule cette bande, ce qui permet d'absorber progressivement l'énergie cinétique du corps en mouvement.
