Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de séparation par membranes, destinés à la production d'un perméat gazeux désiré d'une très grande pureté. Selon l'invention, on fait appel à un procédé à plusieurs étapes de séparation par membranes, comprenant: une étape primaire au cours de laquelle un mélange gazeux d'alimentation est conduit jusqu'à un séparateur à membrane primaire pourvu d'une membrane présentant une perméabilité intrinsèque relativement élevée, permettant l'obtention d'un perméat gazeux intermédiaire et d'un rétentat gazeux; et une étape secondaire au cours de laquelle le perméat gazeux intermédiaire est conduit jusqu'à un séparateur à membrane secondaire, pourvu d'une membrane présentant une perméabilité intrinsèque relativement basse, permettant la production d'un perméat gazeux d'une très grande pureté.
