Acier pour la fabrication de moules, et notamment de moules pour moulage par injection de matières plastiques, dont la composition chimique comporte, en poids:0,17%~C~0,27%; 0%~Si~0,5%; 0%~Mn~2%; 0%~Ni~2% ; 0% ~ Cr ~ 3%; 0 % ~ Mo + W/2 ~ 1,5 %; 0 % ~ V + Nb/2 + Ta/4 ~ 0,5 %; 0,002 % ~ B ~ 0,015 %; 0,005 % ~ Al ~ 0,2 %; éventuellement, au moins un élément pris parmi le soufre, le sélénium et le tellure, la somme des teneurs ences éléments étant inférieure ou égale à 0,2 %; éventuellement, au moins un élément pris parmi le titane et le zirconium, en des teneurs telles que la sommede la teneur en titane et de la moitié de la teneur en zirconium soit inférieure ou égale à 0,3 %; éventuellement, au moins un élément pris parmi le plomb et le bismuth, la somme des teneurs en ces éléments étant inférieure ou égale à 0,2 % ; éventuellement du calcium en une teneur inférieure ou égale a 0,1 %; le reste étant du fer et des impuretés résultant de l'élaboration, la composition chimique satisfaisant, en outre, les relations suivantes: Cr + 3 x (Mo + W/2) + 10 x (V +Nb/2+Ta/4)~2,1;Mo+W/2>0,7% si Cr~1,5%;Tr=3,8 x C+1,1 x Mn + 0,7 x Ni+0,6 x Cr+1,6 x(Mo+W/2)+0,6~3; R=3,8 x C+10 x Si+3,3 x Mn + 2,4 x Ni + 1,4 x(Cr + Mo +W/2) ~ 11.
