Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de réduction de la concentration d'ARN dans un mélange de matières biologiques, ce procédé consistant à: (a) obtenir un mélange de matières biologiques possédant une première concentration d'ARN; (b) filtrer le mélange en le faisant passer dans une diatomite pour obtenir un filtrat possédant une seconde concentration d'ARN, cette seconde concentration étant inférieure à la première; et (c) récupérer le filtrat dont la concentration d'ARN a été réduite. Selon un aspect de l'invention, la diatomite sert à purifier l'ADN plasmidique de recombinaison à partir d'un composant d'ARN dans un mélange de matières biologiques, et selon un autre aspect, à séparer différentes formes d'ARN soluble dans un mélange de matières biologiques.
