Abstract

Cette invention concerne une cellule électrochimique destinée au traitement de l'eau et/ou de solutions aqueuses. Cette cellule comprend une électrode interne qui possède une section médiane ainsi qu'une pointe de type broche à chacune de ses extrémités, le diamètre de chaque broche étant inférieur ou égal à 0,75 fois celui de la section médiane. Cette cellule comprend également une électrode externe qui est montée autour de l'électrode interne, ainsi qu'un diaphragme coaxial céramique qui est monté dans un espace distinct séparant les électrodes à l'intérieur de la chambre à électrode de la cellule. L'électrode externe est montée sur des douilles diélectriques supérieure et inférieure, l'électrode interne et l'électrode externe étant toutes deux connectées aux pôles positif et négatif d'une source d'alimentation électrique. La cellule comprend en outre une tête collectrice diélectrique supérieure ainsi qu'une tête collectrice diélectrique inférieure qui comportent chacune un canal coaxial. Chaque tête collectrice est montée dans des fentes pratiquées dans les douilles de manière à pouvoir tourner à l'intérieur de ces dernières. Le diamètre de la section médiane de l'électrode interne est défini par la formule 2M < D < 4M où D représente le diamètre de la section médiane de l'électrode interne en mm, et M représente la distance séparant les électrodes en mm. La longueur de la section médiane de l'électrode interne est soit plus courte que la longueur de l'électrode externe en fonction de la valeur 2M, soit plus longue que la longueur de l'électrode externe en fonction d'une valeur au moins égale à 2M.
