Abstract
La matrice du matériau composite est formée par infiltration chimique en phase vapeur au sein du renfort fibreux de façon séquencée. Chaque séquence élémentaire de matrice comprend une couche relativement souple et une couche céramique relativement rigide et a une épaisseur croissante à partir des fibres du renfort, l'épaisseur d'au moins la séquence déposée en premier étant choisie suffisamment faible pour gainer les fibres de façon essentiellement individuelle. Les couches souples sont réalisées en une matière anisotrope ayant une capacité suffisante de déformation élastique en cisaillement et transversale, et l'épaisseur des couches souples est choisie suffisamment grande, tout en conservant un caractère principalement céramique à la matrice, pour pouvoir absorber les dilatations différentielles des constituants du matériau composite au stade de l'élaboration de celui-ci sans induire l'existence d'un réseau de fissuration initiale.
