Abstract
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de pompage de métal en fusion qui se compose d'une base de pompe caractérisée par un orifice d'admission, une chambre de pompage, et une évacuation donnant sur un orifice d'évacuation. Un rotor prisonnier dans la chambre est monté sur un arbre de rotor. Le dispositif comporte en outre, une superstructure solidaire du carter de pompe sur lequel elle est montée, un moteur monté sur la superstructure, un arbre moteur monté sur le moteur, et enfin un accouplement d'arbres unissant l'arbre moteur à l'arbre du rotor. Le rotor dépasse par l'orifice d'admission de façon à dévier les particules solides pour limiter les blocages. Ce rotor est de préférence un rotor double flux qui envoie le métal en fusion dans la chambre et le refoule par l'orifice d'évacuation. Deux éléments d'accouplement réunis par un disque souple constituent un accouplement souple. Un autre volet de l'invention est un carter de pompe de transfert dont l'évacuation, qui donne sur un orifice de sortie, est pourvue d'un raccord à pion détrompeur. Les dimensions de ce pion détrompeur sont étudiées de façon à pouvoir emmancher le conduit de transfert sans utilisation de ciment pour diminuer les coûts de maintenance et les temps d'arrêt. De plus, les éléments verticaux tels que les montants de poteaux, le conduit de transfert de métal et l'arbre de rotor sont construits par sections de façon à pouvoir employer des matières anticorrosion pour les sections placées dans les zones les plus corrosives du four à bain de métal fondu. Enfin, un composant fixe du dispositif peut être conçu comme point de fixation d'un thermocouple.
