Abstract
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé qui associe au fonctionnement d'un système de détartrage dentaire ayant une pointe de détartrage vibrante une surveillance continue de l'amplitude et de la fréquence de vibration de la pointe, laquelle fournit une certaine puissance de détartrage sur une dent située dans la bouche d'un patient. L'amplitude et la fréquence de la vibration de la pointe sont ajustées en permanence de façon à maintenir une puissance sensiblement constante. La pièce rapportée vibre de préférence en fonction de sa fréquence de résonance et le système assure un déplacement sensiblement constant de la pointe pendant que l'utilisateur fait varier la pression appliquée par la pointe sur la dent.
