Abstract

Le sable de moulage décrit comprend des microsphères creuses de silicate d'aluminium, de préférence avec une teneur en alumine comprise entre 15 et 45 % en poids, une grosseur de paroi comprise entre 3 et 10 % du diamètre de la particule et une taille de particule comprise entre 10 et 350 mu m. Ledit sable sert à fabriquer des noyaux de basse densité présentant de bonnes caractéristiques de "veining" et de pénétration, et permet de conserver en outre les propriétés mécaniques du noyau obtenu. Lesdits noyaux servent à la fabrication de pièces de fonderie.
