Abstract

L'invention concerne une calandre possédant une pince allongée et destinée au calandrage d'une bande de papier ou de carton. La calandre comprend au moins une pince de calandrage (N) qui est formée entre un rouleau dur chauffant (1) et une courroie de calandrage (10). Cette dernière se présente comme une boucle sans fin, chargée contre le rouleau dur chauffant (1) au moyen d'un rouleau d'appui (3) ou d'un sabot de presse (24). La bande de papier ou de carton (W) qui doit subir le calandrage est disposée de manière à passer par ladite pince de calandrage (N). Selon cette invention, la courroie de calandrage est faite, au moins sur une partie de son épaisseur, avec du matériau à volume compressible. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, l'élasticité requise de la pince (N) est assurée par une courroie de support séparée. Par rapport à la bande (W), cette courroie passe au-dessous de la courroie de calandrage. .
