Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour la fabrication d'aérogels modifiés organiquement, comportant des groupes de surface durablement hydrophobes, dans lequel (a) on prend un lyogel, (b) on lave ce lyogel avec un solvant organique, (c) on silyle en surface le gel obtenu à l'étape (b), et (d) on sèche le gel silylé en surface obtenu à l'étape (c). Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce que l'on utilise, lors de l'étape (c), comme agent de silylation un disiloxane de la formule (I) R¿3?Si-O-SiR¿3?, dans laquelle les restes R, qui sont identiques ou différents, représentent, indépendamment l'un de l'autre, un atome d'hydrogène ou bien un reste aromatique ou hétéroaromatique non réactif, organique, linéaire, ramifié, cyclique, saturé ou insaturé.
