Abstract

L'invention concerne un cylindre (10) destiné à une machine à papier, qui comprend un axe (11) sur lequel le cylindre (10) est monté rotatif, et une structure de surface (13) qui est reliée à l'axe par des pièces supports (14). L'ouverture de la structure de surface (13) du cylindre (10) est de préférence supérieure à 20 %, de façon que la rotation du cylindre (10) provoque une aspiration de l'air vers l'intérieur et son entrée dans le cylindre (10), ce qui crée un flux d'air traversant ce dernier. L'invention concerne également un groupe sécheur, qui comprend deux cylindres sécheurs à conduction et au moins un cylindre inverseur (10), et dans lequel on utilise une seule toile. Au moins l'un des cylindres inverseurs (10) dudit groupe est un cylindre ouvert (10), dont la structure de surface (13) présente une ouverture, de préférence supérieure à 20 %, de façon que le flux d'air accompagnant la toile traverse la structure de surface ouverte (13), entre dans le cylindre (10) et en ressorte en même temps que la toile, sous la forme d'un flux d'air qui traverse la structure de surface ouverte (13) du cylindre (10).
