Abstract

Article doté d'une forme dont au moins une région présente une structure composite à renforcement tridimensionnel comprenant une matrice et un système de renforcement (2, 4, 5, 6). Ce système de renforcement se compose d'éléments tels que barres, fils, câbles ou plaques insérés dans la matrice et s'étendant de manière tridimentionnelle dans une première (4, 5), une deuxième (2) et une troisième (6) dimension à l'intérieur de cette matrice. Ce système de renforcement est bloqué en tension dans au moins une dimension. A cette fin, les composants de renforcement s'étendant dans la première et/ou la deuxième dimension sont bloqués en tension avec les composants de renforcement s'étendant dans la/les même(s) dimension(s) dont ils sont séparés par un espace transversal, au moyen de composants de renforcement transversaux qui s'étendent dans une dimension transversale au plan ou à la surface délimitée par le renforcement dans la première et/ou deuxième dimension. La matrice est de préférence une matrice dense à base de ciment préparée à partir de ciment, de microsilice, d'un fluidifiant de béton et d'eau, ou une matrice métallique. Ces articles à forme sont capables d'absorber une forte énergie tout en conservant un niveau élevé de cohérence interne, p. ex. dans le cas d'un impact se produisant à grande vitesse.
