Abstract
L'invention concerne un dispositif servant à améliorer le rendement global des moteurs à combustion interne à pistons utilisés à charge et régime variables par adaptation en marche de leur cylindrée et/ou de leur rapport volumétrique. La modification de la cylindrée effective du moteur s'opère par refoulement dans la tubulure d'admission des gaz frais admis en excès dans le cylindre et par contrôle de la longueur de course utilisée pour compresser les gaz par le biais d'une soupape d'admission additionnelle (15) à retard fermeture variable. L'ajustement du rapport volumétrique effectif du moteur s'opère en modifiant la position d'origine de la course du piston (1) par rapport au cylindre par le biais d'un engrenage (14) monté libre à l'extrémité supérieure de la bielle (13), d'une crémaillère (10) solidaire du piston (1) et d'une crémaillère de commande (11) dont la position est contrôlée par un dispositif de contrôle (12). Le dispositif selon l'invention est particulièrement destiné aux moteurs d'automobiles.
