Abstract
Une technique pour la récupération sur site d'hydrocarbures pétroliers d'une formation souterraine utilise une combinaison de chaleur et de solvants vaporisés comprenant des hydrocarbures légers. Le solvant liquide est injecté à travers un puits incliné placé à proximité de la base du réservoir et est vaporisé dans le site en appliquant de la chaleur à travers un système de chauffage indirect placé à l'intérieur du puits incliné. La vapeur chaude du solvant monte dans le réservoir, entre en contact avec les hydrocarbures visqueux froids, se condense, se dissout et se diffuse dans les hydrocarbures dans le réservoir. Au final, l'hydrocarbure visqueux est dilué en un liquide à viscosité inférieure qui se vidange vers le puits incliné et est ensuite ramené à la surface.
