Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système de répression des infractions au code de la route, lequel système se compose d'une ou de plusieurs unités actives, d'unités factices, et de plots d'adaptation, à raison d'un plot par unité active ou factice. Les unités actives, qui sont capables de mesurer la vitesse des véhicules et d'identifier ces véhicules, permettent de réprimer les excès de vitesse par l'établissement ultérieur de procès verbaux. Les unités factices ont un aspect extérieur ne se différenciant sensiblement pas de celui des unités actives. Les unités factices et actives se placent de préférence dans des endroits d'où elles sont nettement visibles pour une zone de trafic. Les plots permettent de remplacer les unités actives par des unités factices et vice versa. De la sorte, il est possible de façon régulière et aléatoire d'échanger entre elles unités actives et unités factices, ce qui complique pour les conducteurs la distinction entre unités actives et unités factices. Le système nécessite ainsi moins d'unités actives, ce qui en réduit le prix. L'invention constitue ainsi un moyen efficace pour amener les conducteurs à maintenir la vitesse dans des limites de sécurité, tout en permettant une répression plus efficace et plus sûre des infractions au code de la route. En effet, le système fait intervenir moins de forces de police tout en mobilisant moins de ressources de la police, notamment les véhicules de polices et les matériels techniques correspondants. Un tel système sera amené à jouer un rôle important, soit parce qu'il permet aux communes de dégager des ressources de police pour la répression des délits qui sont plus importants, soit parce qu'il permet aux communes de réduire le coût de la répression des infractions au code de la route.
