Abstract

Composition antioxydante pour application locale, destinée à protéger la peau contre les dommages causés par le rayonnement ultraviolet. Ladite composition comporte un premier constituant (tel que du bêta-glucane ou un extrait de pépins de raisin) qui augmente la viabilité cellulaire des cellules épidermiques, et un deuxième constituant qui réduit la production de médiateurs inflammatoires, tels que les prostaglandines, dans lesdites cellules. Dans un mode de réalisation particulier, la composition comporte du bêta-glucane en combinaison avec du panthénol, de l'extrait de pépins de raisin, de la vitamine C et de la superoxyde-dismutase, ce qui produit un effet synergique de protection de la peau contre les effets nuisibles du rayonnement ultraviolet. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, ladite composition comporte en outre de la vitamine A et de la vitamine E. Dans un autre mode de réalisation encore, ladite composition comporte une combinaison d'un ou plusieurs antioxydants et agents antisolaires dans une émulsion, telle qu'une émulsion eau dans l'huile, qui fournit une protection supérieure de la peau contre les effets nuisibles du rayonnement ultraviolet. Lesdites compositions antioxydantes sont incorporées dans des produits antisolaires, du savon, des lotions hydratantes, des fonds de teint et d'autres produits de soins cutanés.
