Abstract

L'invention concerne le clonage du génome du virus en stries de la banane (Banana Streak Virus, BSV) et l'identification du promoteur de ce virus. Un lien fonctionnel entre le promoteur et une séquence susceptible d'être transcrite permet l'expression transgénique dans les plantes, y compris les monocotylédones autres que les graminées - en particulier du type Musaceae (Musa et Ensete) - et les monocotylédones graminées comme le riz et la canne à sucre. L'invention concerne également des procédés relatifs à la détection de l'infection par le virus considéré dans les plantes.
