Acier d'écrouissage possédant la composition chimique suivante en pourcentages en poids: C 0,82-0,97; Si de traces à 1,10 maximum; Mn de traces à 0,62 maximum; Cr au moins 7,6 mais moins de 8; Mo 2,30-2,70; V 0,35-0,55; le reste étant constitué par du fer et des impuretés en quantités normales sous forme d'éléments résiduels provenant de la fabrication de l'acier.
