Abstract

L'invention concerne un coupleur brouilleur multimode comprenant des parois latérales (301) doucement effilées en continu vers l'intérieur, ce qui définit la largeur de la zone multimode (W1) le long de l'axe de propagation du dispositif. L'effilement vers l'intérieur réduit la largeur moyenne du dispositif comparé aux coupleurs connus ayant des parois latérales droites (202). En outre, l'invention permet aux guides d'ondes d'accès (303, 309) de rester suffisamment espacés, tout en réduisant la longueur globale du dispositif afin d'éviter le remplissage de l'intervalle lithographique et le couplage optique indésirable entre les guides d'ondes d'accès.
