Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement à chaud d'un article en tôle constitué d'un alliage d'aluminium de la série 6000 afin d'obtenir une bonne "réponse peinture-cuisson" sensiblement insensible au vieillissement naturel. Le procédé consiste à chauffer l'article en tôle d'alliage à une température de formation de solution puis à refroidir l'article en tôle d'alliage. Le refroidissement comprend les étapes consistant: (1) à refroidir à partir de la température de formation de solution à une température comprise dans la plage de 150 à 250 DEG C, à une vitesse supérieure ou égale à environ 4 DEG C par seconde; (2) à refroidir davantage l'alliage à une température dans la gamme de température ambiante jusqu'à 100 DEG C à une vitesse de 20 à 30 DEG C (de préférence environ 25 DEG C) par minute; et (3) à refroidir à nouveau l'article en tôle d'alliage ayant une température de 55 DEG C ou supérieure après l'étape (2) à la température ambiante, à une vitesse inférieure à 2 DEG C par heure. Ainsi, on peut produire des articles en tôle d'alliage adaptés à une utilisation dans la fabrication de pièces de carrosserie pour automobile.
