Une composition de conditionnement de tissu contient un agent adoucisseur de tissu cationique sensiblement insoluble dans l'eau ainsi qu'un copolymère caractérisé en ce que ledit copolymère comprend les monomères suivants: a) un monomère chargé négativement ayant au moins un groupe carboxylate et ayant la formule: R1R3C=CR2R4 dans laquelle R1, R2, R3 et R4 sont choisis indépendamment entre H, un groupe alkyle C1-C4 ou (CH2)nCOOR5 où n représente un nombre entier entre 1 et 6 ou il représente 0 et R5 représente H ou un groupe alkyle C1-C4, et au moins un de R1, R2, R3 et R4 représente un groupe (CH2)nCOOR5, et b) un monomère hétérocyclique à substitution vinyle contenant au moins un atome d'azote, et le rapport molaire entre a) et b) se situe dans la plage de 20:80 à 50:50. On peut citer à titre d'exemples un copolymère de polyvinylimidazole/acide acrylique 70:30. La composition de conditionnement de tissu présente des avantages de faible transfert de couleur. L'utilisation du copolymère dans une composition de conditionnement de tissu en tant que copolymère empêchant le transfert de couleur dans une composition de conditionnement de tissu dans laquelle le copolymère ne provoque pas de déstabilisation est également prévue.
