Abstract

L'invention concerne une paire de verres de lunettes ophtalmiques progressifs. Chaque verre comporte une surface comprenant une zone destinés à vision de loin, une zone destinée à la vision intermédiaire et une zone destinée à la vision de près, ainsi qu'une bonne vision fovéale monoculaire et binoculaire le long du méridien principal. Chaque point de la surface asphérique correspond à une sphère moyenne proportionnelle à la moitié de la somme des rayons de courbure maximum et minimum exprimés en mètres, et à l'indice de réfraction du matériau formant le verre. L'idée de cette invention est de réduire, pour une direction de vision donnée, la valeur absolue de la différence entre un paramètre de binocularité pour deux points de l'espace objet. Le paramètre de binocularité est défini pour un point de l'espace objet en tant que différence relative DELTA S de la sphère moyenne pour les points de la surface asphérique du verre de droite et du verre de gauche à travers lesquels le porteur de lunettes observe ce point.
