Abstract
L'invention concerne un système de bioréacteur (figure 4) pour la culture de cellules, d'agrégats cellulaires, de tissus et d'organoïdes, ainsi que des procédés d'utilisation correspondants. Le système comprend un réacteur cylindrique (10) à axe longitudinal non obstrué qui tourne autour de l'axe horizontal pour effectuer la suspension des cellules et/ou des tissus dans un milieu de culture. Des filtres (36) sont utilisés dans le réacteur pour retenir les cellules et/ou les tissus à l'intérieur de la chambre de culture (30) et ils peuvent également servir à subdiviser ladite chambre (30). Une pompe (3) maintient un flux de milieu de culture riche en oxygène à travers le réacteur (10) pour préserver la respiration cellulaire. L'invention concerne en outre plusieurs procédés relatifs à l'exploitation du système de bioréacteur, consistant à utiliser le réacteur pour la culture de cellules, la croissance d'agrégats cellulaires et de tissus dimensionnels, la filtration de déchets et de toxines dans des fluides, et la production commerciale de divers matériaux biologiques à partir de cellules et/ou de tissus, et enfin en tant qu'instrument de recherche et de diagnostic.
