Abstract

L'invention concerne des techniques destinées à insérer de manière continue un deuxième flux vidéo compressé (par ex. pour une publicité) dans un premier flux vidéo compressé (par ex. pour une vidéo de programme), pouvant être mises en oeuvre dans un processeur d'insertion de publicité (112) composé en général d'un codeur en temps réel (202a) (par ex. un codeur MPEG), d'un tampon (204a), d'un profileur (112), d'un multiplexeur (112), et d'une colleuse (112). Le profileur reçoit le premier flux vidéo compressé et crée un profil pour le flux, pouvant comporter le débit binaire et d'autres informations concernant le flux. Le codeur en temps réel (202a) reçoit et code une deuxième vidéo en fonction d'un schéma de codage particulier afin de créer le deuxième flux vidéo compressé. Le codeur en temps réel commande également le codage de la deuxième vidéo sur la base au moins partielle du profil du premier flux vidéo compressé de manière que les profils des deux flux soient environ similaires au moment où le deuxième flux est inséré dans le premier flux.
